Afterward, our dancers will perform an excerpt from the piece, and you’ll have the option to learn some of the choreography yourself! No dance experience required—just bring a willingness to play or observe!
Swashbuckling 101: Swords, Sass, & Shenanigans
Outdoor Stage (Behind the Theatre and Dance Building) |
1 p.m.- 2 p.m.
Ever dreamed of crossing blades like a daring pirate, fearless musketeer, or legendary rogue? In Swashbuckling 101, you'll master the basics of theatrical swordplay with Professor Caitlyn Herzlinger, MFA.
Whether you want to swashbuckle like Zorro, command the battlefield like Joan of Arc, outfight an entire navy like Anne Bonny, or trade wits and steel like Westley and Inigo, this class is for you! This high-energy, attitude-packed class is perfect for bold kids, adventurous parents, and anyone ready to channel their inner hero (or villain!). No experience necessary—just a love of swords, a flair for the dramatic, and a willingness to dramatically perish if needed!
