USM Sport Management Students Finish Well in National Sales Tournament

University of Southern Mississippi (USM) sport management students Drazen Moratzka, Mikal Bolden, and Madison Moucheron put together respectable finishes at the National College Sports Sales Championship and Conference (NCSSC) held earlier this week in Atlanta, Ga.

In the Ticket Sales Championship Round, Moucheron finished in the final 32 nationally, while Moratzka finished in the top 64. In the Quantum Quiz competition, Moucheron and Mikal Bolden finished in final 32. Kovi Howze also competed in the tournament.

The students competed against 240 students from 55 schools. NCSSC is hosted by Baylor University's Center for Sports Strategy and Sales (S3) and the Atlanta Hawks and presents opportunities for students to highlight their skills in a competitive sports sales’ environment. Students present a product to the buyer, and recruiters (typically inside sales managers) serve as buyers in a role-play competition.
