Earn Your Degree in Sport Management

Globally, sports represent a $400-$600 billion-dollar industry. Forbes has estimated a 20% increase in the US alone in the past five years, $60.5B to $73.5B, making it one of the fastest-growing industries in the US. Our program immerses students into the industry, combining traditional classroom instruction with hands-on experience. Students receive professional training from industry leaders in preparation for management positions with professional sport teams, intercollegiate/intramural athletics, recreation programs at colleges/universities, and more.

Students are encouraged to consider studying abroad! In fact, many business students are awarded study abroad scholarships to assist with the expense of attending study abroad programs. Southern Miss Business faculty lead three programs: British Studies, Asian Studies, and Italian Studies.

The College of Business and Economic Development is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
