Using advanced technology, you'll map underwater terrains, discover ancient shipwrecks, monitor environmental changes, or locate valuable underwater resources. Playing a pivotal role in safe navigation, historical preservation, and sustainable development.
What Will I Learn?
As you become proficient in hydrographic survey methods, you'll measure and describe the physical features of oceans and waterways.

Pursuing a Masters: If graduating with a B.S Marine Science (Hydrograhy), you'll have an excellent pathway to continue your education and engage in advanced research through USM's Hydrographic Science MS program. It offers a comprehensive curriculum that builds on your undergraduate knowledge and provides specialized training in hydrographic science.

Upon completion, graduates earn the Internationally recognized IHO CAT B hydrographic certificate, which prepares you for careers in hydrography and marine science within government and private sectors.
