Economic Impact Analysis of Pat Harrison Water Parks

The University of Southern Mississippi and the Trent Lott National Center for Excellence in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship conducted an economic impact analysis study for Pat Harrison Waterway District (PHWD) to better understand the economic impact that their parks bring to their local community. Primary visitor data was collected from the PHWD parks through surveys. The survey data was used for the economic impact analysis for which eight parks are located. The results showed attendance per year across the parks, approximately visitor spent, and visitors’ total purchasing within the PHWD.
