Center for Research to Practice in Education
The mission of the CRPE is to facilitate the implementation of evidence-based practices in PK-21 educational systems. CRPE works with education professionals, students and families to promote high-quality experiences and positive post-school outcomes for all learners in Mississippi, including those with disabilities. This is accomplished through systems improvement activities and professional learning approaches shown to bridge the research to practice gap in education.
Goals and Objectives
CRPE’s work is organized into four goals focusing on education of the whole child: instructional approaches, social and emotional development, positive school climate, and the use of individualized supports (Darling-Hammond et al., 2018). The CRPE’s goals and objectives will be achieved using the evidence-based framework of the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) including the five components of the Active Implementation Framework given by Blasé et al. (2015): usable interventions, intervention stages, implementation drivers, improvement cycles, and implementation teams.
