Chi Omega sorority at The University of Southern Mississippi notched another year of ringing in the holiday season and giving back to a beloved charity with the 73rd Songfest holiday musical celebration held in November on the Hattiesburg campus.

The annual event, featuring musical performance competition between fraternity and sorority chapters at the university, supports the Mississippi Make-A-Wish Foundation. The 2024 edition of Songfest brought in more than $33,000 in donations that will help the organization grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

“I’m so tremendously proud of Chi Omega and all of the chapters who participated this year, and extremely grateful for all of the generous donations we received from the community,” said Parker Breal, Chi Omega’s student director for Songfest. “The amount we raised would not have been possible if it weren’t for everyone's generosity this year. I am so thankful that we were able to give back to such a wonderful cause and ring in the holiday season.”
