The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) chapters of Sigma Alpha Lambda, a leadership and service fraternity, and Association of Office Professionals (AOP) will host a canned pet food drive event Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the breezeway of the Luckyday Scholars Residence Hall, located on the north side of the Hattiesburg campus across from Spirit Park. This event will feature complimentary cuddles with puppies from across the Pine Belt.
Donations at this event will support the work of North Star Animal Rescue in Columbia, Mississippi; donations will also be accepted in support of North Star through Oct. 2 at bins located on the Hattiesburg campus at the Liberal Arts Building, the Payne Center, Scianna Hall, Asbury Hall, Wesley Foundation, and Cook Library.
Come by and learn more about Sigma Alpha Lambda, AOP and/or North Star Rescue, each of which is looking for members or volunteers. Your donations will help to feed the many abandoned animals (formerly someone’s pets) who have been rescued by North Star Rescue.
