Adcox Earns Miss University of Southern Mississippi Crown

The Student Government Association (SGA) at The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) presented the annual Miss University of Southern Mississippi Scholarship Competition Saturday, Nov. 11 on the Hattiesburg campus, with Kat Adcox of Poplarville, Mississippi earning the title.
The Miss Spirit of Miss USM was awarded to Annalee Toler of Liberty, Mississippi; second alternate was Madison Delancey of Union, Mississippi; and first alternate was Paige McNeil of Bay Springs, Mississippi.
Dylan Littles and Katherine Fasnacht served as student emcees for the event, with featured entertainment presented by student Courtney Francois on the cello, Miss USM SGA student directors Olivia Dampier and Emma Garner, and Miss USM 2023 Karsyn Ulmer.
Competition categories included on-stage conversation, health and fitness, talent, and red carpet; private interviews with a panel of judges were conducted earlier in the day.
The Miss USM competition is part of the Miss America Organization, and a direct feeder into the Miss Mississippi competition held each June in Vicksburg.
