Southern Miss School of Leadership Professor Featured in Human Resource Development Podcast

Dr. Bhagyashree Barhate, Assistant Professor of Human Capital Development at The University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Leadership, was featured recently in the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD) Masterclass podcast, “HRD and the Great Resignation.” This is Episode Two of the fourth season of the HRD Masterclass series from AHRD.
The one-hour podcast covered topics such as:
- What is meant by the term Great Resignation?
- How has the Great Resignation impacted organizations?
- What does this mean for individual employees, both those who have acted as part of the Great Resignation and those who have not?
- What are the implications of the Great Resignation for HRD practice, HRD education, and HRD research?
Dr. Bhagyashree Barhate has a Ph.D. in Educational HRD from Texas A&M University, and her research explores career development and leadership development, especially pertaining to women and Generation Z. She has given numerous conference presentations in Asia, Europe, and the United States, as well as publishing her research in HRD journals that have garnered over 650 citations so far.
The other presenters for the podcast are Dr. Rajashi Ghosh from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Dr. Yuanlu Niu from the University of Arkansas.
