Fall Pre-Law Week at Southern Miss set for Sept. 18-22

The University of Southern Mississippi’s (USM) Legal Studies Program in its School of Social Science and Global Studies Program will host Pre-Law Week Sept. 18-22 for the fall 2023 semester on the Hattiesburg campus for students interested in law school.
The week’s programming, offered through in-person and online formats, includes the following (email Amanda Butler for information on how to access online Pre-Law Week events):
Monday, Sept. 18: Keynote address from former Mississippi Supreme Court Justice and USM alumnus Randy Pierce, via Zoom, 4-5:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 19: Mock Law School Class featuring Mississippi College School of Law Professor Donald Campbell, 3:45 – 5:15 p.m., Liberal Arts Building room 101.
Wednesday, Sept. 20: Law School Fair, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Thad Cochran Center
Wednesday, Sept. 20: “Pizza with a Professional Paralegal” 5 – 6:30 p.m., Liberal
Arts Building, room 110.
Thursday, Sept. 21: The Law School Application Process, 12:15 – 1:45 p.m. via Zoom.
Thursday, Sept. 21: “Dinner with a Dozen Legal Eagles” 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Ogletree Alumni House. Students are invited to join successful Southern Miss alumni within the legal profession for this exclusive networking event.
Friday, Sept. 22: Practice LSAT (Law School Admissions Test) 9 a.m. – noon. E-mail Amanda Butler to be enrolled.
