The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) Wesley Foundation will hold its second annual Wesley Worldwide Wishes campaign to provide Christmas presents for international students who cannot go home for the holidays.
Wesley Worldwide Wishes is like Angel Tree, in which individuals choose a name from a tree at the USM Wesley Foundation, buy a gift for the student and return it to the Wesley Foundation, whose staff will ensure that the student receives the present. To choose a gift recipient, call, email, or come to the building to get a student tag; a picture or video of your gift being given to the recipient can be made available upon request.
Gifts can be dropped off Nov. 15 until Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. at the USM Wesley Foundation building, located at 3200 Montague Blvd. on the Hattiesburg campus. Approximately 55 student families are currently registered to be eligible for gifts. A celebration dinner will be held Dec. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Wesley Foundation. Register for the dinner online at https://usmwesley.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/1503279.
The USM Wesley Foundation will also be supporting international students by hosting a Thanksgiving lunch Nov. 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
