USM Black History Month Programming Schedule Announced

Employing the theme “Amplify Black Voices,” The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) has set its 2022 Black History Month schedule of events throughout the month of February on its Hattiesburg campus, featuring educational, cultural and entertainment activities over the next four weeks.
The schedule includes the following programs:
Feb. 2, 7:30 p.m. – Back to Black, Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement (IME) Multipurpose
Space (The Hub, room 100)
Feb. 9, 7 p.m. – “Trap Karaoke,” IME Multipurpose Space
Feb. 11, 6 p.m. – AASO Cultural Legends Ball, Thad Cochran Center Ballrooms A & B
Feb. 14, 5:30 p.m. – “Love Conquers All,” R.C. Cook Union room H
Feb. 16, 5:30 p.m. – “Shades of LGBTQ+,” R.C. Cook Union room H
Feb. 18, 2 p.m. – Allies Training, Thad Cochran Center room 210
Feb. 23, 6 p.m. – “Night at the Museum,” Thad Cochran Center, room 210
Feb. 24, 6:15 p.m. – WEA’s “Women in Power,” Thad Cochran Center, room 218
