School of Finance’s Morgan Featured in WalletHub

Mike Morgan, a professor of practice in The University of Southern Mississippi College of Business and Economic Development’s School of Finance, was recently featured in an article in WalletHub that examines various aspects of using debt consolidation loans to address personal finance issues. A CPA who worked approximately 20 years in executive roles at various technology firms, Morgan most recently served as CFO and later president of Bomgar Corporation before joining USM as a Visiting Professor of Finance in the fall of 2014; he became a Professor of Practice at the university in fall of 2015. He teaches course in financial analysis (Entrepreneurial Finance), personal finance, corporate finance, and short-term capital management.

Morgan actively advises technology start-ups on financial related issues and participates in an angel investing network based in the Southeast. He also serves as a mentor in a start-up program sponsored by Innovate Mississippi.
