The USM woodwind faculty are experienced educators and performers who are dedicated to their students! We cultivate a creative and supportive environment where students with many different backgrounds and goals thrive. Whether you play flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, or saxophone, there is a place here for you!

Opportunities

Woodwind students have the opportunity to play in a variety of ensembles including:

band
orchestra
chamber music ensembles
marching band
flute choir
double reed ensemble
clarinet choir
sax ensembles
and more!

They participate in master classes with world-renowned guest artists, explore diverse repertoire, and enjoy a friendly, supportive environment where they learn and grow.

The Future

Graduates go on to excellent graduate schools, public school teaching careers, higher education teaching positions, and many unique paths all their own!
