Communication Studies Association The Communication Studies Association (CSA) is a student-run organization that promotes career and professional opportunities. CSA holds events for its members, such as: resume and interviewing workshops, guest speakers, and networking. |

Southern Miss Speaking Center The Southern Miss Speaking center, staffed by nationally certified undergraduate and graduate tutors, helps thousands of students each year with speaking assignments. |

Annual Banquet The department hosts an annual banquet to recognize student accomplishments. The featured guest is always an alumnus who has had a successful career, including a senior protocol officer with the U.S. State Department, a director of communication for the governor of Mississippi, a vice president of Bank of America, a chief executive officer of GodwinGroup, and a vice president of Louis Vuitton. |

The Southern Miss Speech & Debate Team The Southern Miss Speech and Debate Team enables students to enhance their skills as communicators through participation in intercollegiate forensics competition, as well as on-campus debates.

Lambda Pi Eta Lambda Pi Eta is the official Communication Studies honor society of the National Communication Association. It is a fully accredited by the Association of College Honor Societies. Requirements for Acceptance:

British Studies Program Communication studies program frequently offers a course in London as part of the British Studies Program.

Undergraduate Honors Conferences Students have presented research at the Southern States Communication Undergraduate Honors Conference and the Southern Miss Undergraduate Research Symposium. |
