Danny Mitchell

Danny Mitchell joined the GodwinGroup in 1983, eventually rising to become chairman and CEO of the company. Originally from Corpus Cristi, Texas, Mitchell led GodwinGroup’s evolution in becoming a full service marketing firm with in-house capabilities including research, public relations, customer relationship marketing and interactive services.  Mitchell was a past president of the Central Chapter of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi and was the only person ever twice elected president of the Southern PR Federation.  He received the Jackson Ad Federation’s highest honor, the Silver Medal Award in 2001 and was inducted into the Mississippi Business Hall of Fame in 2007.  A member of the Southern Miss Alumni Hall of Fame and an Inaugural Member of the College of Arts and Letters Wall of Fame, Mitchell was inducted into the MCJ Hall of Fame in 2009.
