Mart Martin began his career as a disc jockey in Hattiesburg after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising from the University of Southern Mississippi, and then served as the Director of Public Relations for the 1983 United States Olympic Festival and the World Summer Games. Martin later became the Manager for Sports and Publicity for Coca-Cola’s Public and Media Relations Department in Atlanta, Georgia, where he promoted brands such as Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Sprite. He has also contributed his expertise to major events like the Olympics, the Super Bowl, NASCAR, and the Special Olympics. Martin currently leads the creative division of Jackson Spalding, an Atlanta-based public relations and marketing firm. A dedicated advocate of the arts, Martin was inducted into the MCJ Hall of Fame in 2009.
