Dr. Steven Hallam

Bio
Dr. Steven Hallam completed a B.S. in Microbiology from Brigham Young University before going on to finish a Ph.D. in Biomedical Research from the University of Texas Medical Branch. His doctoral work focused on viral human infectious disease, specifically highly pathogenic viruses requiring study in the BSL-4 laboratory. Dr. Hallam has worked in the pharmaceutical industry developing viral-vectored gene therapy treatments as well as developing pathways to produce human glycoforms on recombinant therapeutics. He now has the privilege of educating the next generation of biologists and biomedical researchers at the University of Southern Mississippi.
