Dr. Kristina Mojica
Assistant Professor
Bio
Dr. Mojica is a marine microbial ecologist whose primarily research focus centers around understanding how physicochemical variability influences microbial interactions and regulates biogeochemical fluxes over broad ocean scales. Her current research focuses on how environmental forcing (both natural and anthropogenic) affects the rates of microbial mortality and the division amongst different mortality pathways (i.e., viral lysis and nano/micro-zooplankton grazing) with special focus on how this impacts population dynamics and biogeochemical cycling in the ocean.
