The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a non-profit organization committed to expanding sustainable building practices. University of Southern Mississippi along with its commitment to sustainable development, is now accommodating a USM student chapter under the School of Construction. This chapter is currently under construction and is in the process of registering within the existing clubs and organizations at the USM as well as in the process of registering under the new student chapters pilot program of USGBC.
