Southern Miss Business Scavenger Hunt

Page Content

Welcome back Southern Miss Business students! We hope your summer was both fabulous and restful. To celebrate the resumption of your Southern Miss Business educational experience, we, the faculty and staff, invite and challenge you to explore and learn about our college and school, all while earning points towards goodies and prizes.

Rules of the Game

To be eligible for Southern Miss Business Scavenger Hunt rewards, you must earn at least 15 points by performing various tasks (see the task list below). The twenty students with the most points will earn a special prize!

You can take pictures with other Southern Miss Business classmates, and each will get credit for the same picture. Judges' (Southern Miss Professors and Graduate Assistants (GAs)) determinations after the scavenger hunt are FINAL.

  • Play together! Team up and have fun with your classmates.
  • Play nice! Some scavenger hunt tasks deal with people, like faculty, staff and other CBED students. It's imperative to be kind and respectful to those you encounter.
  • Play safe! Always be on guard and don’t break any laws. Scavenger hunts are for having fun, but you must do so legally! If you break any laws during the scavenger hunt, you will be disqualified, and your points will be forfeited. Illegal behaviors include (but are not limited to) shoplifting, assault, trespassing, blackmail, bribery, forgery, perjury, fraud, etc.
  • Play fair! Don't let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people's chances to earn points. If you do, you will be disqualified (and your points forfeited). Examples of such behaviors are cheating, lying, stealing, sabotaging others, or copying other people's work.
